The best way to get a good laptop is to get a desktop.

I would get a desktop but sadly my parents are spilt so I can only play half of my time. That's why I want a laptop

I don't know what your budget is but > https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834154474&nm_mc=KNC-MSNSearch-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-MSNSearch-PC-_-pla-_-Gaming+Laptops-_-MSI-_-34154474&gclid=CInbu8bMq9YCFY84MgodpnUJLw&gclsrc=ds  < this is what I'm currently using... its a little on the pricey side but here in new mexico where every day is about 102 outside and with my trailer being a piece of shits piece of shit where the ac kicks out making it feel like 109 inside, this thing keeps under 70 degrees. Plus the specs allow 60fps outside city limits AND inside kavala and other citys during prime server hours and on all ultra.  not to mention I also have star citizen running with 50+ frames on max settings as well (Anyone who plays the game knows what kind of feat that is.)

I actually have the https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-omen-by-hp-17-3-laptop-intel-core-i7-12gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-580-1tb-hard-drive-hp-sandblasted-hairline-brushing-and-carbon-fiber/5902586.p?skuId=5902586 , but I really did NOT like it at all. I thought it was a good deal and all, but it just started to go slow on me after 2 months and I could not play any games. I then got an amazing deal at Microcenter and got this desktop for $1200, http://www.microcenter.com/product/475552/Codex_X3-013US_Desktop_Computer . It is now $1399. But it was a great deal and if I were you maybe go for a portable desktop in your situation because I struggle with laptops. I have had 3 gaming laptops and I finally quit on using them.

you could buy this pc https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1VK-0053-000T3&cm_re=small_gaming_pcs-_-1VK-0053-000T3-_-Product and get 2 monitors, put 1 monitor in each house and every time you switch just bring the PC with you

would require lots o' work though

or this pc: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883221343

check the dimensions

To be honest, I've had the same situation happen, as well as a lot of traveling, and moving the computer can be a very simple thing, depending on how you build it, the tower can take up literally no room, and a monitor isn't a huge hassle either. Then all it takes is plugging in a power cord, mouse, keyboard, headset, and the power and video wires for the monitor. Very simple, setup takes 2 minutes and your playing, it really isn't bad at all, and it would run games allot better than a laptop, and you can get it a lot cheaper. As I said, it would run it a LOT better, the parts between laptops and desktops are two worlds apart.

I had this pc back in the day.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834312438

its not worth buying now but at the time it was ehh for arma. With everything on low graphics I could play maybe 35-45 frames depending on fog, whats going on, etc.

I didnt even think about touching kavala lol.

The laptop res linked seems good. I would look up its processor to see how to compares to others/ the one you have now
