Usual In-Game Names:
How Long Have You Been Playing On The Server?:
I have been playing since early December of 2017.
What Other Servers Have You Played On?:
I began playing on this server when I had thirty hours, and all thirty of these hours were messing around in beta with some old friends. Asides from this, I have 700+ hours now, and almost all of them have been on Easy's, and the rest on KOTH.
How Much Time Can You Dedicate to Being a CA?:
I currently am a full time student in university and have high aspirations to have a career in the medical field in the near future, and thus my grades are very important to me. There are a few days throughout the school year where I am unavailable to come online as I'm studying. I do however also have long breaks after my exams where I am not doing anything except for being on the computer. I am very willing to dedicate most of my free time to be a CA. This means I'd be able to dedicate 6-8 hours daily during normal periods, and probably 10+ hours on the weeks after finals where I have nothing to do.
Are You a Cop or Medic On The Server?:
I'm a Current Cop.
Do You Have a Microphone or a Headset?:
I Have a Mic and Headphones.
Do You Have Teamspeak 3 Installed With Push To Talk Setup?:
Yes to Both.
Are You Able to Properly Communicate in English?:
I am able to communicate fluently in English and Ukrainian. I also have background in Russian, Polish, and French. Although Ukrainian is my first language, I believe that I am more than able to communicate with anyone in English.
Are You Patient? (Provide an Example):
Yes, I believe I am patient. After being on the APD for some time now, I've encountered many situations that require a lot of patience. There has been countless times where I've been VDMed, RDMed, etc. I do not lose my composure in these situations and I maintain as calm as possible. I carry on to patrol normally, and do not let the little things that cause minor inconveniences bother me. Since joining the APD, I have also come to the realization that every officer's back has a target on it for trolls. While trolls are a fairly common occurrence, I believe that I maintain the same level of professionalism and put in the same amount of effort for RP that I would with anyone else. No matter how much effort they show me or how much they spit in my face, I will treat them as equally as every other person on the server. Secondly, I am a Senior FTO in the FTO division for the APD. I have dealt with cadets that at times can be frustrating to work with, however I see past this and remain calm and continue to teach them, because it brings me joy to see them excel. I believe that the FTO division tests your perception of how patient you truly are. Lastly, in real life, I have worked as a secretary for my father for multiple years. My job had me be on the phone with many people who enjoy to use vulgar language when something doesn't go their way. Obviously I am able to hang up or reciprocate their vulgarity, although I do not. I have built a resistance and patience to this after years of people calling me too young for the job, clueless, etc I have learned to resist this and work with the person to the best of my ability or to the extent of how much they are willling to work with me.
Are You Sociable / Can you Mediate?:
I believe that I am a fairly sociable person, and I am fairly good at mediating conflicts for others. My main reasoning for this is no matter the situation in game or on TeamSpeak, I am able to find some common ground with people no matter their interests, beliefs, etc. I can talk to anyone about anything and try my best to keep a conversation alive and be sociable with them. As well, it may seem silly but during my misadventures in picking courses in university, I ended up in a conflict resolution class. In this class, I learned the steps to mediation, the roles of a mediator, and different phases of mediation and when to use them. As well I learned many different conflict resolution models, and how to work towards peace. Obviously in real life it is very difficult to apply theoretical knowledge on real world conflicts, however it did show me a different perspective about conflicts. It showed me that conflict is inevitable, and that it is a natural human tendency because of competition for resources, or to obtain what one wants. This taught me that no matter what, even if two people are in a conflict, there are multiple ways of unwinding the conflict so that both people end up happy and with what they want. Anger is just a natural human emotion and depending on how we channel it and control it, will give us the result of how we communicate it and use it to work through a conflict. I have been able to work conflict out between friends in real life just purely based on positive communication patterns, and breaking negative belief cycles that they had of one another.
Do You Have Experience as Staff On Another Server?:
I do not have any experience as staff on any other server.
Can You Be Neutral?:
Yes, I can be neutral. I believe that I can be neutral because no matter how heated a situation may be between other individuals, I always try to imagine both perspectives. When imagining both perspectives from an unbiased view, it is very easy to see the true facts of both perspectives on the situation. Approaching a situation logically with no emotions, or personal vendettas will guarantee a neutral position every time. I believe that in a professional environment where I represent the server and have to uphold the rules, I could remain neutral and make a choice that could be against my friends or people that I have a relationship with out of the professional environment. For example, in my workplace there have been times where there have been little arguments that break out and I always side with the person who is correct in the matter, or if neither are correct side with neither and try to explain why I think so, and hear everyone's opinion out. For me, this comes easily and I believe that I could apply it to being a CA.
What Makes You the Right Choice?:
While I believe I only possess three things that make me the right choice, I feel like they are all major. I feel that my professionalism, my want to help others, and my determination are what make me stand out. No matter if the situation that I am dealing with involves friends or strangers, I would always remain extremely professional in what I do and not let it slip up anywhere. Professionalism is important when upholding the values of the server, and slipping up only poorly reflects the server and my behavior. Secondly, I have been part of this community for only a short period of time but it has grown close to my heart and I cherish every person who makes this community what it is. I want to help the community by being part of the server staff because I feel as if it would take a load off of the current staff and help them. As well, I am a FTO for the APD which means I am helping cadets constantly on patrol to become better, as well I am always trying to help other officers as well whether it comes to help with flying, guns or even tactics for situation. I love to help people and it makes me happy when I teach somebody something that will help them with a skill they want. Finally, my determination to be the best version of myself that I can be in this community will always push me further into evolving myself to become better, and work harder.
Do You Have Any References?:
I do not know if I have any references, however I assume there will be a decent amount of feedback in the comments.
